Michelle Hernandez

Michelle Hernandez

Hello, my name is Michelle Meza Hernandez. I am a Sacramento State graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from San Diego State University. I began my teaching career in a pre-kindergarten classroom where I had 3 wonderful years with young English learners. Since then I have taught third grade, and now I teach first grade. I truly enjoy reading, and teaching first grade allows me the privilege of teaching children how to read. I am thrilled at the opportunity to teach children a skill they will use for the rest of their lives.  I am also very happy to join the wonderful staff at Community Outreach Academy.

Norman Campbell

Hello, my name is Norman Campbell but most people call me Sunny because of my happy disposition.  Students may call me Mr. Campbell or Mr. C.  I've been teaching 1st Grade here at Community Outreach Academy since the 2011-2012 school year, where I instantly felt that I was home.  I feel that this is home largely because of my belief in and commitment to Capturing Kids Hearts (CKH) and the connections that I am blessed to make with the students, their parents, and the amazing staff here.  I received my Associates Degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, after which I attended California State University, Sacramento for both my Bachelor's Degree and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  I enjoy playing bagpipes with my wife, who plays and teaches violin and other string instruments.  We have 3 children, two sons and a daughter.  I also enjoy cycling, reading, and spending time with my family.
