The trimester 2 awards

Hello COA Families,

As we progress through distance learning and the implementation of our new Standards Based Grading framework, you may have noticed that our award ceremonies and academic achievement awards looked different than what you are used to. The awards for trimester did not include Honor Roll and Principal’s List because these awards will be phased out with our Standards Based Grading approach. Instead, we have emphasized academic based awards. The trimester 2 awards are as follow:

AWARDS FOR KINDERGARTEN - FIFTH GRADE

► Distance Learning Superstar: This award is earned when students demonstrate a high level of effort in class, on zoom, and with independent work.
► Independent Learner Superstar: This award is earned when students demonstrate strong ability to work independently.
► Zoomtastic Superstar: This award is earned by students who demonstrate proficiency in zoom.
► Most Improved: This award is earned by students who demonstrate strong improvement.
► Assignment Completion: This award is earned when students complete and submit 100% of the required assignments.

AWARDS FOR FIRST - FIFTH GRADEAWARDS FOR FIRST - FIFTH GRADE

► Russian Award: This award is earned by students who demonstrate strong academic effort and progress within their Russian language class.

We are very proud of how hard the students have been working and wanted to make sure to be able to recognize them during this time. If you have further questions please contact your child’s teacher or a representative from the school.
