Kasey Story, Lead Teacher

Kasey Story 3rd Grade Lead Teacher COA Elementary

Hello! My name is Kasey Story and I am a third grade teacher at COA. I am originally from Southern California but I moved up to the Sacramento area for college. I received my BA and Credentials from William Jessup University in 2014. I have always known I’ve wanted to be a teacher due to the many inspiring teachers I have had over the years. I hope to motivate my students to have a love for learning and be a positive role model for others. Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, going on walks with my dogs, doing crafts, and going to the zoo.

I am so grateful to be a teacher at COA. Keep up with the fun that happens in our class by following us on Instagram: @mrsstorycoa

Alisha Moore

Alisha Moore 3rd Grade Teacher COA Elementary 3rd

Hello! My name is Alisha Moore and I am currently teaching third grade at COA. I received my BA and multiple subject teaching credentials from CSU Sacramento in 2008. I was in the blended Liberal Studies program which means you receive your BA and credential at the end of four and a half years. After receiving my degree at CSU Sacramento I was a substitute teacher in West Sacramento for kindergarten through eighth grade for two years. My hope is to give all my students the proper tools they need in order to succeed.

In 2009 I married my husband. On New Year’s Eve in 2014 my daughter was born. Then on Easter in 2019 my son was born. I just love them to pieces. When I am not teaching I love to spend time with my family, friends and my dogs Daisy and Lily. I enjoy going to the beach and Disneyland whenever possible.

My name is Krista Pohl, and I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at COA. I graduated with my teaching credential and master’s degree in Education in 2016 with an emphasis in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. My passion is teaching more than just the curriculum, but lifelong social and emotional skills. When I'm not at school, I love spending time at the beach with my family and fiancé. I'm a Southern California native, and we have some pretty incredible beaches. My two dogs also occupy a lot of time when I’m not teaching. They’re pretty cute and incredible, too. I’m looking forward to an amazing year!
