Hello, my name is Tim Strauch, II. I am a sixth generation native Sacramentan. My family came to Sacramento in the 1850’s and settled in Elverta, CA where they were primarily dairy and grain farmers. Along the way, several Strauchs became educators and always strived for the best in their students. Hazel Strauch Elementary School in North Sacramento is named after my Great Great Aunt. I have a cousin that teaches 1st grade in San Diego, another cousin that’s a University Professor, and my own father is a teacher, and so, it must naturally have fallen to me to continue this line of work. Educating and inspiring students is a passion for me and I try my best to bring new experiences to them to enrich their schooling and keep that spark alive as they continue on with the rest of their education. If they have the best education they can possibly get, then they will remember not only what they learned, but who they learned it from…and will be able to tell you ALL the names of their teachers! That’s the best reward any teacher could ever ask for. I set very high expectations for my students and every year I see them attain them as well as having a lot of fun along the adventure! I am very pleased to be working with such a great staff of excellent teachers, caring administrators, and super support staff to help all students reach the goal of being the very best they can be!
When I get free time, I like to spend time exploring the many places of the world with my wife, Susan. We do things I tell my students to do…go out and learn more about the world around you. Visit places like the California Missions, the fantastic monuments, historical landmarks, and expand your knowledge! My wife and I have a lot of fun on our trips and a lot of the things we learn, I bring back to the classroom! Thank you for enrolling your students in our school!
