My name is Susan Pak and I this is my third year teaching at COA. Quite a few of my relatives were teachers (both in the United States and South Korea), so I knew that was a career path that I wanted to follow from an early age. I was also very grateful to the teachers I had my whole life that really inspired me to become a wonderful teacher. With that in mind, I attended and graduated from CSU Sacramento in 2006 with a BA in Liberal Studies. I immediately enrolled in the teacher credential program at CSU Sacramento and I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in the winter of 2007. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of nine, my family and I moved to California to be closer to relatives. I consider Sacramento my home now. Most of my family members are in Southern California while my parents and older sister live here in Sacramento. I love to cook and experiment with different types of ingredients, but I am always happy to make and eat Korean food (spicy!). I also enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, and getting a chance to spend time with friends and family.
