Some of the things students will learn this year: *7th Grade: World History • Rome • Islamic World • West Africa • Asia • Medieval Europe • Renaissance • Reformation • Scientific Revolution • Americas • Early Modern World *7th Grade: ELA • Students will learn how to write and speak with a command of standard English conventions (spelling, grammar, and punctuation). • Students will learn how to analyze fiction in terms of elements of plot, theme, and characterization. • Students will learn how to write narrative, expository, persuasive, and descriptive essays. • Students will learn how to describe and connect the essential ideas, arguments, and perspectives of the informational texts by using their knowledge of text structure, organization, and purpose. • Students will learn how to deliver focused, coherent presentations that convey ideas clearly and relate to the background and interests of the audience. |
